GIVING OF GIFTS
The Joy of Generosity
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said; “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
At Knaresborough Team Ministry, we encourage a culture of giving. Every gift makes an incredible difference to our incredible church, the people of Knaresborough and our work in the world.
You are able to give either financially or through giving of your time. If you want to know how you can help please contact Garry 07759 614032 or Stroma 07791 499036
"GIVING IN GRACE"
Stewardship Campaign - Oct 2022
A thank you…
Dearest Friends, May I begin by taking the opportunity, right at the outset, to thank you all – each and every one of you – for the generosity, both prayerfully and financially, that you already exercise in our churches and across our team ministry both today and in the past. What is a stewardship campaign? Put quite simply, it is an invitation for us all – within this month of October when the focus is on Harvest and the generosity of God to the world - to reflect upon the financial contribution we already give to our church. What’s happening? The Campaign will begin on Sunday 2nd October with a celebration of Harvest alongside sermons that reflect on the gracious and generous nature of giving… that week information leaflets will be handed out or sent out to every individual and family who are on our Electoral Roll allowing people to think about and pray about their giving to the church. (Leaflets will also be distributed across the whole villages of Goldsborough, Coneythorpe and Flaxby as well as the new development at Trinity Fields). The rest of the month will see us following a theme centred around ‘graceful giving’, concluding with a service of ‘thankfulness’ on Sunday 23rd. I commend the campaign to you I ask that you pray for the success of our campaign. And I ask you to generously reflect upon your giving, in grace, to God and His church. Blessings, Garry
PARISH GIVING SCHEME
The Church of England offers a Christian presence in every community. Together we seek to make this Christian presence the heart of all our cities, towns and villages: by our wonderful buildings; by worshipping together; by serving our communities and by sharing our faith and values. This valuable contribution to our community has a cost, of which 75% is met by personal donations. For our Church to survive and grow, we rely on regular donations so that we can plan confidently for the future.
