HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, KNARESBOROUGH

Briggate, Knaresborough, HG5 8BQ

Holy Trinity Church is the home of a lively Christian congregation, part of the Knaresborough Anglican Team Ministry which comprises also St John the Baptist, Knaresborough, St Mary the Virgin, Goldsborough, St Paul and St Margaret, Nidd, and St John the Baptist, Brearton: all part of the wider Christian community in the town and surroundings.

Here the heart of our spirituality is the Eucharist, or Holy Communion, the re-enacted memorial of the  final meal that Jesus Christ shared with his disciples before his arrest, and eventual crucifixion.

We use the words of Jesus who took bread and wine, gave thanks, and passed them to his twelve closest followers; and who said Do this in memory of me.

In the thanksgiving we embrace all that God has done and been for us in Jesus Christ. Here we encounter for ourselves God’s promise of freedom from the slavery of sin and the gift of eternal life.
